Northumbria Branch History

The Northumbria branch of the Dry Stone Walling Association was formally created in April 1993 by a handful of keen local wallers. The branch membership is currently stable at around 40 members.

Each year the branch provides taster days for newcomers to walling and practice days for members wanting to brush up their skills. These practice/taster days are run by DSWA trained walling instructors from the branch. In 2022 the branch held 17 taster days and 22 practice days.
